To enhance the exceptional quality of some of the selected wines, the commission's experts award the superior quality specifications of Vin Classé, Premier Cru and Grand Premier Cru, the latter one designating the most noble products from Luxembourg's vineyards.
The growing number of Grand Premier Cru designations awarded to Domaines de Vinsmoselle is the best evidence of the continuous search for quality, according to the tradition of our house. The quality label 'Marque Nationale' is only awarded to wines ready to drink, exclusively elaborated from grapes of Luxembourg origin and in accordance with precise analytic criteria and after an organoleptic test by the commission of the Marque Nationale.
The members of this state-controlled neutral organ are appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Viticulture. It is composed of representatives of the wine growers and of gastronomy, of delegates of consumers' associations as well as of state employees.
